Wedding gift with a difference

This commission was for matching tattoos for a bride and groom.  In the first version it incorporated the four initials of the family as they were then. You can see an M at the top with two J’s in the downward strokes, crossed with a flowing H. Then along came child number three and a little update was called for… so a curved B was added on the right.

I am an artist and designer working in oils, watercolours, pen & inks, textiles, pyrography, digital and mixed media. I seek to express and engender feeling and meaning through colour and form. I am inspired by light and landscape and the place humanity and particularly the feminine has between the two. I have also been working with pyrography techniques in Irish Woods. My work has in the past been selected for the Royal Ulster Academy (RUA) annual exhibition and I have and do exhibit at various venues, but exhibitions are rare as the work is always demanding to be made rather than displayed. Until Now.
