Kingfisher Gallery Killyleagh

pyrography
These are the two burnings in Kingfisher Craft Gallery the top one is called ‘Where the firehead comet roams’ the lower is called ‘I’m not so sure’.

I dream of burning the burns of dreaming.

One of my favourite places Kingfisher Craft Gallery in Killyleagh has agreed to take some of my work. It is in illustrious company, most of the stock is sourced locally, and we have such talent in the country, it’s well worth a visit. At the moment two of the wood burnings are there, and in a couple of weeks there will be cushions and a mirror. Wish me luck and I’ll keep you posted!!

I am an artist and designer working in oils, watercolours, pen & inks, textiles, pyrography, digital and mixed media.

I seek to express and engender feeling and meaning through colour and form. I am inspired by light and landscape and the place humanity and particularly the feminine has between the two.

I have also helped design hand-built stringed instruments crafted from Irish tone woods with Catherwoodguitars.com

My work has in the past been selected for the Royal Ulster Academy (RUA) annual exhibition and I have and do exhibit at various venues, but exhibitions are rare as the work is always demanding to be made rather than displayed.
