A rose by any other name

A rose by any other nameA rose by any other name – would smell of feet :-) again a quote that makes me think about how we define the world, what a strong influence language has on the way we see the world. The Rose is drawn in ink and ball pen.

I am an artist and designer working in oils, watercolours, pen & inks, textiles, pyrography, digital and mixed media. I seek to express and engender feeling and meaning through colour and form. I am inspired by light and landscape and the place humanity and particularly the feminine has between the two. I have also been working with pyrography techniques in Irish Woods. My work has in the past been selected for the Royal Ulster Academy (RUA) annual exhibition and I have and do exhibit at various venues, but exhibitions are rare as the work is always demanding to be made rather than displayed. Until Now.
